Your Inevitable Choice.....

This thing that is happening at the border is beyond comprehension.  As I watch the news reports, my anger and disbelief is without bounds!  How is this defensible?  After House legislators finally get a chance to actually see what the conditions are (the fact that they are only NOW getting in to these places is its own abhorrency!) the revulsion expressed by these legislators is overwhelming.

And what does our fearless leader EDNA say about the reports of Border Patrol agents creating a Facebook page to mock Hispanic migrants and legislators, and making the detainees drink water from toilets and sleep on concete floors?  He answers, “I know that border agents are unhappy with the Democrats in Congress; the Republicans want security and the Democrats want open borders.”  Total misdirection.
He never answered the question about the cruelty and lack of accountability.

So all you Republican promoters: where is your conscience?  Do all of you simply ignore what is happening and blame it all on the Democrats?  Excuse me!  The Democrats are not running these facilities and did not establish this policy!  Wake up!

You are supporting a very slippery slope here my friends.  At the end of the day, you will confront your maker and will have to justify this inhumane and cruel behavior and how you chose to ignore it in the name of politics.  How shameful!

There is now ample proof of the mistake we have made as a country.  God help us if we do not change direction in 2020.  God help us……

So let me ask you, Republicans—As Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post asked this morning, “Do you think it would really be such an awful thing for more people to get health care? For migrant children to be treated like children, not taken from their families and caged in squalor? For universal background checks for gun purchases, (supported by something like four-fifths of Americans, to be made law?) For the United States to rejoin the Paris climate accord and stop artificially boosting the coal industry? For some effort to be made to address levels of inequality that would make Gilded Age titans blush?"

You will have to decide these rather basic human value questions soon when you enter the ballot box.

What will you do?
